Marriage License Search Online

Sunday, May 25th, 2008
by Ben Jen

Marriage is much more serious than it’s treated by many. In the US, the state steps in to help make the point. Like other cosmopolitan environments, there are variations among the ethnic and religious groups in joining people in matrimony. The requirements can also differ from state to state but people other than the couple are always involved. Yes, there will be a conducting official. Legal witnesses of the ceremony are also required in certain states. Even God and deceased ancestors may also be involved by religious and customary practices.

Rejection and protest from certain religious groups or beliefs notwithstanding, it is mandated by law that a marriage can only legally proceed after a Marriage License has been obtained from the state authorities. The requisites for application are typically age, identity, residency, medical examinations and clearance from any previous marriages if any. They can be issued by the state of residence of the couple or where the marriage ceremony is planned to be officially conducted. Fees are usually nominal but lead time can be long, up to a month in some states. After the ceremony, the license is then signed off by the new couple and the official to file for certification and the issuance of the Marriage Certificate.

Both the license and certificate are then entered as marriage records into the respective files of the new spouses. They will then be maintained as public records at the county or state where the marriage has taken place, whichever is the prevailing practice. Being public records, they will be subject to public retrieval and search as long as procedures are complied with and fees are paid.

Same-sex, or gay marriages are a little bit trickier. They are recognized in less than half the states. A handful others are fuzzy about it, recognizing them as legal union and offering explicit marriage rights and responsibilities while not calling them marriages. Be prepared for some surprises with such states.

There are basically two types of service we can turn to for marriage license or record search, the free public offices and the paid providers. Free services tend to be discrete and scattered so it can be quite time-consuming and tedious. Paid versions come at different levels of professionalism. The better rated ones can deliver very comprehensive reports. Over and above public resources, many have access to private and privileged databases.

Conducting public marriage records search is often contentious. Except for super-snoops, people have better things to do than prying others’ private lives. It is usually done on those who are more than acquaintance, and ironically with whom we relate with fondness. Inherently, it infringes the expectation of trust. Tussle between the sense and the feelings, there is never an outright correct answer.

Are There Free Divorce Records Online?

Saturday, May 24th, 2008
by Ben Jen

Statistically, about half the marriages in the country end up in divorce. That’s why it makes sense to be sure about your partner’s divorce background whenever engagement or marriage is on the horizon. It’s no trouble at all nowadays to run a quick free divorce record check on someone. Whether it’s for your self or on behalf of somebody else, it’s always better to be safe than sorry.

A great deal of information can be derived from Divorce Records. They contain the personal particulars of the separating spouses and children such as names, ages and birth dates. Marriage date, place and even time and who performed the solemnization or ceremony may also be available. Financial information, custody, alimony, restraining orders, filing numbers, final decree and so forth, where applicable, are all key divorce records.

A divorce record search can also be used to determine the official marital status. This is important especially if someone is intending to remarry. In order to remarry, someone has to be legally divorced from the previous marriage to be eligible. Often, people fail to follow through on formalizing and legalizing their divorce, especially in cases when it was uncontested and a response was not filed. Also, only certified copies of the divorce certificate is acceptable in most cases, thus entailing a longer waiting time in the application of the divorce records.

Divorce records are legislated as one of the public vital records. As such, anybody’s divorce records are rightfully accessible by anyone as long as procedures are followed. They can be requested in person, by mail, telephone, fax or online through the internet at the responsible government agency tasked with the function. Of all the options available, the online method is by far the most popular way to retrieve divorce records.

There are basically two versions of online divorce records. The first version is the free-of-charge (FOC) version which is obtainable from government sources and, to some degree, commercial providers as promotions or enticements. Such online divorce records will just about suffice for exploratory and other casual purposes. The second version is the fee-based one from commercial information brokers. It is recommended when the search is more purposeful, especially when it’s serious or formal. It is also generally of higher standards and unlike public sources which tend to be disparate and non- standardized, come with plug-and-play readiness.

Fee-based online divorce records are abundantly available on the internet. There are very good value-for-money to be found if you incur a little patience to shop around a little bit. Competition is keen so fees are really reasonable. Another approach is to check out the various review sites. The top-tier ones are typically very professional in their reviews and recommendations. They do get their cut from the referrals but they have also to put in their due diligence for that.

Do you ask yourself “how do I get my ex back if she is not answering my messages”? it’s probable that you’ve done or said things that you should not have. However, there are solutions to your problem.

If this is true, don’t concern too much about it. The first steps are laid here for you. First, you have to stop doing any of the things listed here so you can get your ex girlfriend back.

There are a lot of things you shouldn’t do to try to get your ex back. Here we will list just some of the most common ones you have to avoid immediately.

1.) Avoid Arguing The most common emotional reaction is to argue about the break up. You don’t think it’s fair, you think is wrong. However, arguing with your ex will not help you get her back. Stop this now.

If you try to argue with your girlfriend about the break up will only drive her away. You have to remain cool and understand that things are not like that with women. You have to let it cool and avoid arguing.

2) Spying You probably will want to spy on her to try to find out what happened. Maybe you worry she is seeing somebody else and want to catch her. Maybe you think she is secretly missing you and goes to all your favorite spots. Well, let me tell you, what is going to happen is that if she finds out you are spying on her, you will look like a fool.

3) Venting your Anger on everybody Many people want to vent their anger and take it to their friends and family. Worse, some take it on their ex girlfriend. This can only harm your relationship. If you start getting angry at everybody, she will find out and just feel sorry for you. Try to remain calm so you can plan how to get your ex back.

If you avoid these things, you can start to lay the plan to get your ex back for real. Remember that this is a ongoing process and this is just the beginning.

Love: Did Tina Turner Sing It Right

Thursday, May 15th, 2008
by Dr. Arlene Krieger

The lyrics of Tina Turner’s song, “Whats Love Got To Do With It” resonate in my mind as I drive into my office today. Although they say that one should leave their work at the office, in my line of work, that is easier said than done. The pain and angst of life exists, many learn to survive it, for some that are eternally stuck in the past, it culminates into eternal pain. Whether at rest, in lines at the food store or caught in traffic, thoughts of my patient’s lives tumble through my head like waves crashing upon the shore. The nuances of each and everyones personal dilemmas, ebbing and flowing with the same destructive forces of nature.

Just because I have a PHD does not mean I am not a student of life. I continuously research. Recently I came upon evidence that “head over heels attraction can be a sign of bad schema chemistry.” The author speaks of “love traps” such as issues of entitlement, abandonment, defectiveness, subjugation, self-sacrifice, both or either party being punitive. The list is unlimited as to what we as human beings of which mates can do to each other, in relation to the dynamics of personal interaction the couple demonstrate.

So if sexual and physical attraction, the desire for another for the sake of personal pleasure is not LOVE, then as ‘ the show Alfie’ so effectively states “whats it all about.?” To begin with, LOVE is a decision that one makes, hopefully incorporating, reason, logic, and executive frontal lobe processes, vs. the animal attraction of the limbic system thought processes. Real LOVE is the conscious intent, a cognitive leap of good faith, mixed with genuine care, respect, and a sprinkling of heartfelt and soulful emotion towards your respective object of desire/loved one.

That given, absolute LOVE is not isn’t just desiring this significant other in your life because you can gain personal pleasure from them, but rather, it is an intangible soul to soul love, where wanting the best for the other person comes from your heart, not from a sense of personal gain. To love one because you admire and respect the core essence of them, to love another from the perspective that you are a better person for having them in your life, these are the essentials of an authentic and lasting LOVE. And that love is a trusting love that only deepens. It doesn’t feel forced. It is one that has natural growth.

Enjoy the blissful journey. Hope I was able to offer a bit of food for thought to munch upon along the path to bliss.

Hire A Lawyer - Find An Attorney Who Would Best Suit You

Thursday, May 15th, 2008
by John Parker

How many of us deal with an attorney on daily basis? Not all of us deal with attorneys on daily basis and some of us do not deal with them at all. However, the changing social environment and the legal systems those are getting complex day by day demand that each one of us has a personal attorney who can walk us through the legal maze. This pushes all of us to the dire need to find an attorney whom we can rely on. A lawyer whom we can trust; sadly, it is not easy to find an attorney who will not expect us to pay for his Limo! The first thought that comes to one’s mind when one thinks of hiring a lawyer is the expenses involved.

Once you find an attorney, before finalizing, you should think and rethink on whether he would be a suitable lawyer to handle your case. As law and order is a vast area still to be exploded, not all lawyers would be able to handle all the sectors. As there are attorneys specializing in specific areas you can as well hire a lawyer specializing the particular area in which your case falls in.

One of the best ways of to find an attorney for your need is to use the traditional word of mouth advertisement. Start telling your friends and colleagues whom you can trust about your need. You will be on the safer side to get a lawyer to work with you by personal referrals your friends or acquaintances will give you.

When you are in a social gathering and if one of your friends introduces you to a lawyer, make sure that you exchange business cards with him or her. You may not be in any need at that moment to find an attorney, but when there is a need you will certainly not regret exchanging business cards with him. This will serve as a ready reference on whom you can rely immediately.

You can easily find an attorney if you should be visiting churches regularly. This can be a very good interacting platform as many people join together in one place. You can find the lawyer yourself or can also check with the clergymen. Getting references from the clergymen would also assure about the reputation of the lawyer.

When one of your friends or acquaintances do refer a lawyer and when you get to meet him or her make sure that you still assess their credentials and reputation. When you find an attorney who will listen to you and advise on a suitable course of action. If you really do not have a case that you can fight and win then your attorney should be able to tell you the truth and advise you on alternative ways of resolving the issue.

Online directories are other good resources to find an attorney. You can select any lawyer from these directories and contact them directly. This process would be much simple as well as the lawyers would be segregated and listed in the order of areas they specialize. It would also be possible to read the reviews written on them, if there should be this feature in the directory.

Make sure you meet more than one lawyer before you make your decision and check for their credentials and reputation. Decide whether you would like to go with a law firm or an individual lawyer to handle your case. If you are going to find an attorney who operates individually, double check their success rates and the types of cases they have handled. Your lawyer should have handled a number of similar cases so that he does not experiment with your case. Pay close attention to find an attorney who will be able to meet your specific needs though it should take little longer to identify the right person.
